Well...I told Elder Parker that I'd start this blog for him, and I've finally gotten around to it. We've received two emails from him so far, and so I'll put the latest one here. He's doing great! Enjoy!
Thanks for the email, it helps to have encouragement. About the snow It was snowing when we left on the bus to the airport, the temple looked amazing in the contrast of the dark sky and white ground, though it didn't make dragging luggage through it any easier, it was slick and sticky. However in regards to not having to worry about shoveling the driveways while it doesn't snow down here it does get quite cold in the mornings and evenings (so it appears to have been a good idea to bring both layers of my coat, bbbrrrrr.) anyway about where I am situated we are not living in a members home, we are in a apartment complex by the title of archstone apartments. It is a not too bad of place the biggest issue is the fact that there are two pools in the complex and the residents don't hesitate to utilize them. Luckily though, our routes go around the pools so that we don't come close enough to really worry and about the food, we seem to have dinner appointments almost every night so food appears to be not a concern, though we do have to take care of our lunches and breakfasts and only occasionally do we need to worry about making our own dinner.
In regards to the camera, I haven't tried that yet, but I think I should now that you mention it, I should be able to take the pictures from the camera and email them to you, it did mention that in the owners manual. Now regarding your mentioning of the weather, at first we had quite the sunny skies and then we recently had some pretty drastic rainfall going on but now it seems to have cleared up for the most part. About the bike, we haven't gone to look for one yet but we are going to talk to Pres. Cook about whether or not we can do that durring one of the days we have the car, oh I forgot to mention before, I am the designated driver and I am a little confused my self about the situation but apparently because of some of the medication that Elder Elkins is taking for his back problems (will explain latter) he has been listed as not fit to drive (not sure why but whatever is best I supose?) running out of time but in regards to the money needed for the bike I don't know how much it is going to cost but I was told that around here you can get one for as low as around $300. anyway things are going okay, thanks for the advice, love you all.
