Week 3 - i think...

Hey guys,

Thanks for the email, I will look into finding out about Matt.  About zone conference, because of what missionaries had mentioned to the Z.L.'s(Zone leaders) they decided to first focus on how to keep a effective study journal, the ideas they had were great and I think that it will help me learn more and remember better the revelation I get from my studies, I will be sending you a summary of the points I thought were most important through the mail because I think that if everyone keeps a journal of both family and personal scripture, and church doctrine study, it will help considerably(and by church doctrine, I mean ensign, new era, the friend, especially D&C and the books from the missionary resource library (True to The Faith, our Heritage,Our Search for Happiness, and Jesus the Christ).  They have proved to be exceptional sources of insight and revelation.  Also, during zone conference, we had lunch halfway through, we played a game of book of Mormon golf, that was a good test of how well you know your scriptures and where they are, I'll send you the instructions on how to play later in the mail.  About the car, at zone conference pres. Cook told elder Elkins and I that he was going to make elder Elkins the designated driver, and because, he said, we usually have the trainers as the designated driver because they are already familiar with the area and the new missionaries can get acquainted with the roads and all that, so that when they do drive they won't need to be told which way to go.  Now, I am okay with this, I mean I am still getting acquainted with the area, but my only point of frustration was that I was just barely getting the most important roads memorized.  anyway I've gotta hurry, just so you know, you won't have to worry about paying anything extra for our use of the car, the only thing that I would need extra funds for would be if we get in an accident and I have to pay damages or if we need to have the car checked(unlikely).  Also, about the bike, it looks like I won't be needing to get one until either elder Elkins or I am transferred, his back trouble(he told me he has a herniated disk) makes it very hard for him to use a bike, the position of his back while on a bike makes it hurt alot more than it does already. Alright gotta go!

love you all very much, I will try to write you all a letter in the mail asap.

Elder parker

ps:I have learned a few new tricks with the rubiks cube I will tell you about later ;-P
