June 14

Hey guys.
Hopefully I don't have to pay much in regards to my bike anymore, if all goes well at transfers today, the only real problem left with my bike is the fact that the chain keeps skipping alot, and it has broken on me more than once, first only a few days after getting it and then again with the replacement chain I bought so I tried putting the old chain back on with some of the parts from the "replacement chain" (I was told by a bike profesional that it was a chepo chain, go figure, I only had him look at it when I was looking at getting a helmet and finding out prices) and it seemed to be working well for awhile but it has started skipping again, and it also has trouble shifting between certain gears, but hopefully all that can be taken care of today when we go to transfers.
Thanks for all that you do, and if there is anything that I missed then please let me know as soon as you can, and in other news, things out here have been relatively normal, within the last transfer I and Elder McAlister have had the privilege to be put on a similar level to Alma when he went to Amonihah, the first time, except we didn't get completely thrown out of town but on at least one occasion we have been told to "go back to Utah, do your "missionary" work there, among the rest of you Mormons!", and they also threatened us with calling and making a complaint to the police, on another occasion we were told to get out and stop soliciting at the houses in the area, kept referring to the no soliciting sign located at the entrance to the community (technically it almost just a mid size group of duplexes, how do you spell culdisack? am I spelling it right?) and as we walked away and I looked back as they were watching us (at this time, while they kept shouting things at our backs like,"keep going!, get out of here!, stop bothering people!, ect....there was only just one upset lady, and her parents who lived next door who were just watching while she kept making rude remarks but either way) Elder Mcalester decided to have a couple of  "punch words" of his own (in a joking manner it seemed to me) and started saying things like, "stop repressing us!, you guys have always been persecuting us! we have our freedom of religion" and such) as I looked back, with a look of  "I honestly couldn't care less what you say" look on my face (and that is also how I felt, but I had only turned to see what they were doing), and she immediately retorted with,"you are a smart(beep)", and I responded, as we kept walking away, with one of the following, I'm not sure which, "please, do not swear at us." or "please stop harrasing us" rather calmly as a matter of fact, and they continued on for a little bit until we had left their sight, or hearing range, I am not sure which.  But anyway, Elder Mcalister is getting transferred again, and he was only here for 6 weeks!  well I hope the elder coming in is a good elder, having a wild one or a slacker would be a pain in the neck, things are still going in our area, but if we are going to get the ward excited about missionary work I am going to need someone who wants to work hard.  Mostly because I would hate to have to drag someone around and force them to participate well in a lesson and such, but because, if they want to work hard then it will make it easier forme to work hard as well.  It seems that the former situation doesn't happen as much as you'd think, more often than not if a missionary is a slacker and/or lazy, it affects the other elder and if one or both of them don't do something about it, they both become bad missionaries, thankfully this doesn't happen alot, but I have seen examples of this in many situations, but I am droning on again.

So moving on, did I mention before that I need my driving record from the davis county dmv?  It isn't a real emergency but I would like you to please get that as soon as you can, and I am not sure if I mentioned this before but can I get that special cookie recipie from you, mom?  I would greatly apreciate that, and about fathers day I will be sending you something in the mail, I hope you like it and just incase it doesn't get sent on time or comes late, here is a little poem for you dad to show you just how much your missionary cares (note I did not come up with this on my own I saw it at someones house but means the same none the less):

Supermans Dad

Even Superman needs a dad
To teach him right from wrong,
To be his friend and confidante,
And help through struggles long.

Deep in his heart
This superman knows
He really could be on his own.
But he dosen't want dad to feel so bad,
So he says to that man'
"Daddy, please hold my hand.
If you don't help me stay,
I might fly away,
And then who'd show you
how to play?"
 - Carol Swindle

Well I hope you enjoy it, the poem also had a picture of a little boy in a superman costume walking down the sidewalk holding his dad's hand, I thought it was a good example of the position of our heavenly father and the comandments and laws he has given us are like holding his hand so we don't fly away and get hurt, thanks for teaching us the rules dad, they kept us safe, you and mom.  I hope I can do a just as good a job as you with my own kids when the time comes (hopefully that won't be for at least another 3-4 years from now, but if it happens sooner, and still done in the right order, then I hope I will be ready.

Thanks for the help you gave me and all of us (everyone else included I hope;-}) happy fathers day!, sorry about all the confusion next time I will give you at least a 2 weeks heads up before I need any thing for my meds.  Well I have got to go thanks for all your help, I love you all very much, and I did get the insurance card in the package, and I will include the pics of my shoes with this email.  have a good trip and how will the watts get the usb to me?.  anyhow,

LATER;-}
