now when you say the bean cousin's party, that's a separate party from the pj party right? oh well, any way, we had a stake concert out here too, it was pretty good, sadly during one part the microphone started having trouble, it worked just fine both before and after but it just kind of wigged out at that part, no idea why of course but it was still a good program. yes I would be able to watch and listen to the recording of the evening of music, the only difficulty would be if it is too big to email, so far it seems that you can only attach up to 12mb or so files, so we will have to see about that. how do ya mean that your getting into that age group where illness is a regular thing?, you guys aren't that old yet!!and we all know people who are "that" old and they aren't constantly sick! but anyway who's sick? you mentioned a couple of people a few emails before, how are they doing?
things are going well out here, if you want a summary of our regular daily rutine you can glance at the managing time wisely section in preach my gospel, but our daily activities usualy include: trying to see investigators, referrals we have gotten, and other things, I will try to get something more detailed for you guys later, thanks for your love and support, I will write you more in my next email,love you all!
LATER;-}

Another letter:
about this package, if you want it to get here by Christmas just make sure you send it at least before the 20th the mission office is holding all mail that comes in until the Christmas eve "conference" on the 24th, so anything you send right now, I probably won't get until then. I hope to get something sent to you guys as well soon, sorry that I am taking so long with it, there will be some instructions with it so only you and dad open it at first and please just follow the directions inside some of the stuff is meant to be given on Christmas, and the others to be when you open it at first or what ever.
sorry that I haven't told you what I would like you to send me for Christmas, I will just try to give you an idea of what I would like aside from what you mentioned in the email below, firstly: I NEED NEW MUSIC!!! my selection of music for down time and in the car time is very limited and playing the same songs over and over again gets kind of old pretty fast, just to make sure you know what we can listen to out here mo tab is definitely approved, but I would like a wider selection, if possible can I get a copy of from Camora's hill, and other church produced music? and also Mannheim steamroller is approved so can I get copies of some of those too? and some movie soundtracks are also allowed out here, as long as it follows the mission guidelines, if you can take a look at a missionary handbook, it has a specific list of what can not be in the music, so I don't want you to go and get me a giant pile of Cd's, or go and spend a lot because they are expensive, I just want to be able to have a wider selection so I don't get sick of it all before I go home, so I think a minimum of about 4 other Cd's would be good, please tell me if I am asking too much. I don't want to make this a big deal or be a burden, and just a few other items on the list, if you can get me the new testament, old testament, and book of Mormon study DVDs, that would be great, it would help me out with my studies and with coming up with ideas for teaching and so on, and one last thing on the list, if you could either send me a Thomas Guide(a map book)for northern San-Diego and orange county or some thing of that kind, because I would like to be able to have an up to date map with me so I can find my way around and not have to worry about weather or not my comp has a GPS or the area has a map book when I go to a new area, if you can do that without any trouble then that would be great, if it is troublesome then don't worry about it, I might be able to get one later but if you could help me with that, it would be awesome.
so back to what I was saying earlier, dad told me a little bit about what had happened with the tree, but it seemed that he didn't know about Bro. Morgan's offer to bring his, or that the second one belongs to Bro. R. Smith, I think Bro. Spencer talked to Bro. Smith about it, since they both work together with the scouts(I think) but oh well, it all worked out great didn't it? well I wish you guys good luck with the decorations, hopefully Randy and Don will be able to help dad with the lights(and do them right of course,J-K) and tell dad not to take any risks with the decorations, now is not the time to get his back hurt again(please note:I am "slightly" teasing here) and also thank you for being concerned for my thoughts and how I am doing with this being my first Christmas out here, for now I will say that you should not have any thing to be worried about. the fact that I get to video chat with you guys on Christmas is enough to stem any sentimental feelings, but I do miss a few things though, like the fudge and stuff, the stockings in the morning. luckily they have a dollar store out here and they sell Swiss miss and other brands of hot chocolate, but in all reality I really miss our winter days of finishing shoveling the driveway and coming in and getting a nice hot cup of our own Stephens hot cocoa. I didn't know until I got out here that Stephens doesn't produce it's products outside of Utah! they only function out of Farmington and don't sell outside of the state!! (on that note: if you could please send me some Stephen's orange creme hot cocoa, the mornings can get pretty chilly out here funny enough, just no snow on the ground and kinda humid)love you alll later
