socks then okay but please try anyway, thanks, and the camilion belongs to a
member in my new area and I thought you guys might find it as cool as I did,
anyway as for other things I will do like last time and do the direct approach
Hey ya!
So, I'm actually
writing earlier....just because it's 12:17 am doesn't mean anything, right? lol
I'm just running late as usual this summer. sigh. I can't
believe the summer is almost gone. It's been crazy, ya know? And
it's not settling down any time soon. We're trying to get the house ready
for the wedding (yes, we are now having the wedding here, not just the
reception) and the yard and everything else. I start back to work this
Wednesday, (which I am thankful to have a job that is so very flexible and has
such wonderful people to work with...) but I wasn't ready for it to happen so
fast. The new building is partially done and our office is ready, so we
get a new office! It actually has official TCM on the door. ;)(sounds like fun)
Sunday was fun, our
first Sunday with the new bishopric. They are going to be great.
Bro Spencer came by to do a last Home teaching visit. We were
thinking about it, and he's probably been our home teacher since we first moved
here. He's been great, and we're going to miss him coming. I'm just
glad we still get to see him any time. ;) (yea I think I will miss him too)
Tomorrow (well...later
today) is the open house for the new Brigham City Temple. I'm way
excited. The elder who spoke in Sacrament meeting went to Guatamala and
talked about when they built a new temple there so that the country had two.
He said it was a wonderful thing and they had several baptisms as a
result of people going to the open house. Did you realize that this makes
14 temples in Utah?? It blows the mind. I remember growing up and
there were a whole 36 in the whole world. (or something like that). Crazy
and amazing how the gospel keeps growing. Isn't it wonderful? We
get to participate in the dedication as well, which is in September. So,
that will be fun. (also sounds like a lot
of fun, speaking of temples our temple trip is going to be next tuesday and so
if I am late in responding it is because we have our session at 9 and we need
to leave early to get there on time and so just fyi)
We had an interesting
discussion with Kristie yesterday about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
Makes me wonder how all of our children view it, so I'm asking you.
Do you worship Heavenly Father AND Jesus Christ? Or do you just
worship one of them? And what do you feel your relationship with Jesus is
like? Is he a big brother? Your Savior? All of the above?
I think sometimes that she talks too much to the born agains at her work,
and their philosophy has tainted her thinking a little. I'm not sure.
But she was thinking that the church and everything is Heavenly Father.
We said yes, but, the church is Jesus's, and the gospel is His, and it's
only through HIM that we are saved and able to return to Heavenly Father.
She had a hard time with that whole scenario. sigh. It's
amazing what thoughts go through the brain.(like
I said in the last email I would like to put my two cents in about this topic,
there have been many discusions over the past year or so that I have been
involved in about the trinity and that sort of thing, to put it simply, as far
as I am aware: we, as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints, as stated in the articles of faith believe in God the
Eternal Father and his son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost, and that is
what we believe in and so with that in mind, we worship the father through
Jesus Christ, as he is our savior and redeemer, but as it has been through all
history of the world God the father has revealed himself to his prophets and his
son jesus Christ, our worship is through Jesus Christ as it is he that has made
it possible for us to return to God's presence and so it works kind of like a
stuard or a standing in behalf of thing, Christ is the Fathers
representative to us and our advocate to the father, and so thats kind of
how it works, sorry but I have got to run, love you all and write you latter!!!
