Oct 30

Hi guys!
Just kind of a minor note here, that is, you could say, "somewhat" related to the whole "count down" thing, we were informed last Saturday that in addition to elder Nash going home (obviously) I am also being transferred.  yes it appears that they are not only whitewashing our area, that are putting sisters in our place. kind of funny I guess, since it seems the members kind of prefer to have one missionary who has been around in the area and a new one to a complete new set of missionaries, but it appears that as long as we get them all the basic information that they need, they should be fine.
of course they may likely have a gps and not need a new map book like we would have greatly appreciated, all the ones we had were out of date by a few years, but anyway gotta make this as quick as I can so we can finish cleaning and packing.
about that count down business, you can bother about that all you like, but I don't want to dwell on it to much, no trunky troubles (or tribbles) but it just makes focusing a little difficult.  feel free to mention it any way you like seeing as it may be one of the few big things coming up anyway (not trying to sound sarcastic here) anywho
about that picture stuff I know what you mean, but thankfully the majority of the people who will be seeing those pictures will be able to understand, especially since those who have them will likely provide a little description, but also thankfully, the ones that are most likely to be posted will be the close to "normal" ones.
also on the subject of pictures what did dad think of the truck? and there should be some cool ones we took recently attached to this email, hope you like them.
and in regards to my current responsibility, I am still a Junior companion (that could change with transfers, no idea) and I am neither district or zone leader and with only 2 transfers left it's not likely to change, but you can never really tell with president cook, he's somewhat hard to predict.
but anyway, Matt is getting married in a WEEK!?!?!?! you are telling me this NOW!?! he only got home a couple of weeks ago didn't he? well he sure didn't waste any time did he? who's the girl? hope she's nice.
anyway good to hear that Mark is doing well, I was really concerned what would happen to him when I heard about aunt Lisa, but it is good to know that he has been able to cope and that it drove him to do better in the field, and at home too it seems.
and finally about that storm yes we have heard about it, quite frequently actually, sounds like it is really bad. suggestion: keep them all in your prayers and contribute generously in your fast offerings, any other ideas up to you as to implementing them or regarding mine at all, mostly all I can do is pray and suggest others seek to do what they can.
thanks for all that you do and have done for me, also one other thing please pray that my absentee ballot arrives out here by at least Wednesday, that way it will have time to get to me from the mission office and then for me to get it back into the mail system by Friday, thanks, love you all!!!

PS: the surfboard, or two halves of a surfboard are a suvenier from a member who was going to throw them away, course the board was still in one piece when he first gave it to me but he had shaved part of the one side off to try and make it a shelf but decided it wasn't going to work, but I figured I could do something with it and so I asked if he would mind me taking it, and he said that would be just fine seeing as he was going to throw it away, and so for storage, I first cut it down the middle(as you can see) and then a little latter finding that even in half it would not fit where I needed it to fit, I then cut it into fourths, but it still is suitable for my purposes, funky huh?
