Jan 3

jan 3
hi guys, sorry that I cut it off so abruptly last week, the library computers allow you to be on them for only so long and the library was really booked on Tuesday,so again sorry about that.
so to finish what I was saying in the previous email, in addition to the syrup, I would love it if you could send me the recipe for french toast.  I remember it was something like one egg for each slice of bread in the batch and one cup of milk with each egg (not sure, mostly just a guess) and I can't remember how much Cinnamon you would put in, so if you could do that for me, that would be great.
well that's all I had to say in regards to food, one other thing that I need to mention to you guys before I forget, like I said before the big package arrived a little later than the first one and your card arrived on Wednesday. and Dad, I found that letter you mentioned, I had forgotten that it had arrived around Halloween, so you don't need to print up another copy, and so that's that on those things (loved the note on the box too).
and on a similar note, I plan to get that stuff sent within the next week or so and so it should arrive within the month (he he he, stupid holiday mail, never arrives on time) and so moving on, I haven't checked with our nearby dry cleaners to see how much it would cost to get those slacks fitted better, if it is possible to get them exchanged for ones that are my size at missionary mall then that would be great (they might do it for free considering that I have only tried them on, so they are still not used) sorry that they don't fit.
I guess that is kind of both a good and bad thing considering that you still spent money on them but I couldn't use them, but it does mean that I have lost weight, right? and that's a good thing right? oh well moving on, please let me know what we will end up doing with them, soon, thank you, and so now on to the next subject, something funny I saw at bed bath and beyond (we went there because they sell space bags and elder Spaulding need to try and make more space in his suitcases for his stuff (apparently you do pick up a lot of stuff while your out here, at least here in California missionaries pick up a lot of stuff, but I am sure missionaries pick up a lot of stuff in other missions too) they had these calenders that are made by this brand called workman (not all of the calenders that were there were made by them), and I saw this one calender that had magnetic darts with it and and each month had a different game of darts that you could play (yes I know that I am not out here to play around but it looked like it would be a fun p-day activity and there are ways to use darts in teaching the gospel) unfortunately they have stopped selling the 2012 calenders and so I wasn't able to get it(yet!) but I will still be looking around for that brand of calender, they had some other calenders also by that same brand that had other fun activities as well, I guess that people that work in cubicle ville(like in Dilbert, right Dad?) get bored a lot and need something to do to stay entertained.
anyway, just to quickly wrap up this subject(explain a little bit more why I mentioned it in the first place) and move on, I just thought it was a cool idea and thought Dad might get a kick out of the thought(I have been told that in the TV show "The Office", that little things like that and other silly stuff/pranks are a common occurrence, wonder why we haven't heard about these before, I think that Dad would get a real kick out of some of the things I have heard happening on "The Office", supposedly they can get real obnoxious in that show, and moving on, to explain the pictures that I have included with this email, the one with the trees and fog where taken a few nights ago when we had some really bad fog coming through, also one is one of my drawings and I will be sending you  picture next week of how one of my drawings got put to good use, hope you have had a good week, love you all and please respond and tell me whats up.

LATER;-}
